Hello, and thanks for stopping by to check out Juliet’s Sweets!
I’m Juliet – a 19-year-old New England-based college student who loves making and sharing sweet treats.
A bit about me…
I live in Connecticut with my family. I have two wonderful parents and am lucky enough to call my sister, Brigitte, my best friend. I love to learn and my favorite subjects are history, Spanish, and English. I currently attend Wesleyan University.
My pups, Romeo (get it? 😉 Romeo and Juliet) and Lulu, are the loves of my life! Lulu’s a puggle and Romeo’s a golden retriever. They always keep me company in the kitchen and are great at licking up spills…
I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I made box brownies and birthday cakes with my mom, and always loved the thrill of seeing what came out of the oven. When I was around 12, I became much more interested in baking. I used to ask my mom to go to the store and buy mixes almost every day after school – until I realized I could bake without them, and entered a whole new world of baking from scratch.
I began experimenting with different types of desserts – not just cookies, cakes, and brownies. The first real recipe that I fell in love with was an amazing chocolate scone. I remember chopping chocolate for what seemed like hours and wondering whether they were going to turn out well… they were a complete success!
My family still says it’s their favorite treat I’ve ever made. Since then, I’ve made countless batches of all different types of cupcakes, cookies, scones, muffins, cakes, and other sweets, and taught myself how to bake along the way.
Juliet’s Sweets has evolved a lot over time. As I’ve grown as a baker, I’ve expanded this blog to a catering company as well! It’s so exciting and fulfilling to work one-on-one with clients to curate the perfect dessert for their event. From birthday parties to baby showers to graduation celebrations, Juliet’s Sweets is thrilled to make your custom sweet dreams come true.
Now that you know a little bit about me, it’s time to get down to baking. Thanks so much for visiting, and enjoy the sweets!
